Trustees eventually decided to offer a one-day event during which residents could drop off various types of trash. ![]() However, in 2021, a new approach had to be taken because the township received no bids from vendors who wanted to carry out the two-day curbside cleanup. ![]() Until this year, Perry Township traditionally conducted an annual cleanup event during which a waste hauler would pick up specified types of trash from residents’ curbsides on two consecutive Saturdays in the springtime. * Items such as shingles and plasterboard must be boxed in containers. * No items containing Freon (refrigerant found in most air conditioners). * No engine blocks or heavy automobile parts. * Other unacceptable items include batteries, leaves, brush, yard waste, hazardous materials, liquid paint, dead animals, propane tanks, gas tanks and regular household garbage. ![]()
